PEACOCK PLACE RESIDENCE

LEGANA, TAS

PROJECT DETAILS

Situated on an incredibly tight site, bounded by easements on all sides, the irregular shape of the Peacock Place block became a major influence on the building’s envelope with main living spaces directly referencing the form of the site.

This building was designed with a split-level to minimise its visual impact from the street. The entry level at the street is linked to the lower level living spaces by three generous stairs. From this lower vantage, the living spaces are tucked away from the street, providing privacy to the occupants.

Although compactly designed, the living spaces feel generous in size, opening out to a northern deck and expansive river views.
